Therapeutic Art Classes

You will begin by learning the basics of watercolor supplies, brushes, color mixing, washes, layering, and blending. From there, we will practice easy botanical exercises that help you create loose florals, leafy branches, soft petals, and natural textures. You do not need to know how to draw or paint before coming—this class is about learning, relaxing, and enjoying the process.

During class, you will learn how needle felting works, how to safely use the felting needle, shape wool, build layers, add color, and create small details. We will guide you step by step as you make a sweet nature-inspired project, such as a flower, small animal, or seasonal design.

In this fun and creative two-hour workshop, children will learn the fundamentals of sculpting with colorful polymer clay while creating their very own miniature three-dimensional sculpture. At the beginning of class, each child will choose from a variety of sample projects and display pieces designed by our instructors. Whether they choose an adorable woodland animal, tiny succulent, mushroom, bird, miniature dessert, flower, or whimsical character, they'll receive step-by-step guidance to bring their chosen creation to life.
Throughout the class, students will learn how to shape basic forms, blend clay seamlessly, add texture, and use sculpting tools to create expressive details. As they work, they'll strengthen fine motor skills, creativity, observation, and confidence while discovering the joy of hand-building with clay.
This beginner-friendly workshop is designed to be relaxed, encouraging, and fun for every child, regardless of experience. Each student will leave with a unique handmade sculpture and baking instructions so their finished piece can be cured at home and enjoyed for years to come.

Most Meadow & Muse workshops are two-hour classes priced at $50 per person, including instruction and materials. Our specialty retreats and extended workshops range from $95–$150 per person, depending on the experience and included refreshments. Optional take-home kits are available for many classes, allowing you to continue creating at home.
